Stepping on Angels

A site responsive installation created at “Konvent” Residency International program

Inspired by the the grounds of Konvent and the original patterns on the floors and what seemed to be angels at play.

My first days inspired from a series of random images and drawings from Konvent and the river that naturally flowed next to it. I watched the leaves from from the trees fall from the blowing wind as people passed by leaving there footprints upon the surface.

Footprints and traces of the past. I began my process of investigation exploring the different possibilities of each surface and how they specifically related to the space; it ́s transparencies, it ́s resistency and its texture. Using collage soft pastel, earth from the river and stencils of the original pattern. I constructed an extension of the floor from the Chapel lodge into the 1st floor balcony. Allowing ideas and mediums to create palettes and poetic intersections between art, drawing, painting and printmaking, nature and trancedence.
