Concrete Floor tile - La fabrica
Using an architectural element from the surroundings I found a loose concrete floor tile from the Fábrica. I created paper casts of the tile in both a water color white and indigo blue paper found in the Fábrica. I placed them in a grid pattern hung from the ceiling and nailed to the wall in a structural grid creating an environment. Lastly I cut holes and patterns into the tile as if it were a katagami print. This allowed for the light to penetrate the tile and project cast shadows on the walls.
